Synchronizing Infinity with Teams

By synchronizing Infinity with Microsoft Teams, you can ensure that your status in both Infinity and Teams is updated so that your colleagues can contact you through the right channel and those who call in end up right.

Choose how you want to synchronize, either both or just one of them:

• Teams status to Infinity

• Infinity line status to Teams (requires that Link Presence to Profile is enabled on the user)

To get started, you first need to install and log in to the Infinity Teams app. You do not need to use telephony in Teams with direct routing, it is enough to run the Infinity Teams app to configure the synchronization.

Note! To synchronize, the administrator’s consent is required before use, this happens in Microsoft 365.

Teams-status to Infinity

When you are logged into the Infinity Teams app, go to the Settings tab and activate ‘Presence to Profile’.

By linking Presence to Profile, you can synchronize your Teams status with your Infinity profile. The settings are divided into Teams statuses that you set yourself as a user and those that are set automatically when you use Teams and, for example, have a meeting or are temporarily away. For each status, you then choose which Infinity profile should be activated when the current Teams status is activated.

At the bottom, there is an option to synchronize your phone status with your Teams call status by checking the box. That is, when you have a call in Teams, you are shown as ‘in call’ in Infinity.

We recommend the following settings as a basis, but it is up to each company/user to find what works best for you.

Please note that when calendar synchronization is activated, calendar booking profiles will take priority over the Link Presence to Profile settings.

Infinity linestatus to Teams

In order for it to be visible in Teams when a user is busy on the phone in the PBX, you need to activate the setting "PROPAGATE_LINESTATE_TO_TEAMS" in the Infinity portal. The setting can be found under: PBX → PBX misc. → Settings and is set to "1" for the function to be active in the PBX. All users who have activated their "Presence to Profile" will then appear as busy in Teams when talking on the phone in Infinity.
