With Infinity Mobile, there are multiple ways to make calls, and the number depends entirely on how many extensions you have registered under your user in the PBX. This guide covers the most common methods. Below, you can read more about each calling method.
To change the calling method, open "Settings" and under the "Calls" tab, click on "Select device to make calls with."
If you have activated "Softphone" in Infinity Mobile, you should not select it as your calling device. Instead, follow the instructions provided further down.
This device
This is the default setting, and with this option, your mobile phone (i.e., the regular mobile network) will be used when you make calls with the mobile app. How it works depends on your mobile subscription:
Semi MEX, you use another operator but integrated into the PBX – your mobile number will be displayed, and the call will go outside the PBX, so your colleagues will not see that you are on the phone.
With Infracom mobile subscriptions or a fully integrated MEX solution with Tele2, Telia, or Telenor – the caller ID will follow what is set in your active profile.
You will be charged the call rate that applies to your mobile subscription (usually 0 SEK within Sweden, as calls are included in most subscriptions).
This device – Callthrough
If you have this activated, the mobile client will call through the cloud pbx. There are a number of different scenarios.
If you have a mobile with another operator but which is entered in the PBX we call it semi MEX. When you call any number, the mobile client will call through the pbx using a +4610...... number that will receive the call and dial the number you want to call and present the number you set in Infinity. If you are outside Sweden this is not what you should use!
If you have a fully integrated mobile in the PBX with an Infracom sim or a fully integrated MEX solution with Tele2, Telia, Telenor connected to us. Then the only advantage to use "this device - Callthrough" in this case is if you need to switch the number you present frequently between the number set in PBX and your mobile number. When calling a colleague from the mobile client you will call directly even though you have set up "this device - Callthrough".
If you call an external number, the mobile client will dial to +4610 ...... a number that will receive the call and dial the number you want to call and present the number you set in Infinity. It is important to point out that your local call list in your mobile will not contain the number you called but the 010 number used. We recommend using Unified Softphone Mobile instead if possible.
Softphone with Infinity Mobile
This is a softphone in the mobile client and needs to be added as a device on the user in the Infinity portal in order for it to be activated and possible to use. When it is activated, you go to Settings in the mobile client and make sure you have the following settings:
Select "This device" under "Device to make call with" (do not select Unified Softphone Mobile)
Make sure that Softphone is activated
Set the standard method for how to make outgoing calls to Softphone.
Important - do not choose "Unified Softphone Mobile" as the "Device to make call with" Keep in mind that it is a SIP client and is dependent on firewalls being able to handle the traffic if you choose to call with the SIP client.
You can see if the SIP client can connect to our servers when the SIP-handset is green at the top.
