This feature allows you to redirect incoming calls to a specific number in the PBX based on the caller's number (A-Number).
Some examples of use cases:
Block specific incoming numbers
Block incoming calls from specific countries (based on country code)
Route certain incoming calls to a specific user or destination
Below, you’ll find a guide on how to block incoming calls from the number 0701234567 to the user Joe Doe. In this example, Joe does not want calls from this number.
Creating an Caller ID Route
Create a new Caller ID Route by navigate to “Company → PBX → PBX misc.→ Caller ID Route”. Start by naming your caller ID route, setting a default destination (what should normally happen) and adding a detailed description for future reference. Click Save.
After saving, add the and define its destination by clicking the plus button in the upper-right corner
Enter the number you wish to redirect and the destination. Then click Save.
Check that everything is correct and click Save again at the bottom-right.
In the example, calls to Joe Doe are normally routed to him. However, when 0701234567 calls, the call will be disconnected (blackhole → hangup).
Activate for incoming number
The final step is to activate the feature for Joe´s incoming number. Navigate to “Company → PBX → Numbers”, locate the user’s incoming number and set the destination to the newly created Caller ID Route. Click Save.
Don’t forget to synchronize the changes in the PBX.
